“The land has shaped a lot of what we do,” says Santa Fe, New Mexico, visual artist Carole Bowker, about the work she and her husband, Thomas, produce every day. “For me, it ranges with the environment I’m in at the time. Everything stems from the environment we’re in.”
Bowker’s work exudes empathy and a marvel with mankind’s physical and spiritual environment. His heightened degree of awareness recognizes the nuances of the human condition, a bit like a connoisseur, which he visually communicates through a variety of dissimilar materials.
